Duckworth joins Openwork on November 1st from Living Time, where he was distribution and partnerships director responsible for all sales distribution, strategy and key deals throughout the UK.

He was previously worked for companies including Prudential, where he was distribution director, responsible for distribution throughout Europe and the Middle East; AXA, where he was national sales manager; and Scottish Amicable, where he was regional sales manager.

Duckworth will assume leadership of Openwork’s overall group and distribution strategy, and will oversee the development of the network’s investment fund proposition. He will report directly to Martin Davis, chief executive officer.

Davis said: “In recent months we have been undertaking a review of our distribution strategy and engaging in extensive selection processes to find the right leaders to execute our plans. Mark brings with him extensive experience gained in a number of senior roles and he was the standout candidate to drive our group and distribution strategy. We are very pleased to welcome Mark to Openwork.”

Duckworth added: “Openwork is a strong business with ambitious plans for the future and I look forward to working closely with the management team to drive its future growth. Few, if any, networks are as well placed to flourish in the post-RDR world and this is an exciting time to be joining the business.”
