The chartered surveyors, which was first appointed by Cheshire 5 years ago, won the contract after beating off a large number of competitors.

Richard Sexton, e.surv’s director of business development, said: “We are delighted that the Society was able to reconfirm our position after an in depth tendering process and we are now in a position to look at building on the robust systems already in place. In addition to acting as panel manager, we plan to increase the level of technological interface between both organisations to provide even greater efficiency for the Society.”

As part of the new deal, the Society has agreed to incorporate the former in-house valuation team into the e.surv operation, under a TUPE style arrangement.

Graham Wade, lending operations manager at Cheshire, said: “This will allow the Society to continue accessing the same experienced surveyors in our core lending area, whilst enabling us to concentrate management time in other areas during 2006.”
