FCA publishes buy-to-let MCD rules
The FCA confirmed that firms who are registered with the regulator for consumer buy-to-let will no longer require Consumer Credit Act Permissions.
The FCA also reiterated that business buy-to-let intermediation will not be a regulated activity.
The regulator said firms will be required to report consumer buy-to-let data on a quarterly basis.
The FCA said it will continue to consult on changes to buy-to-let policy after regulation comes into force in March 2016.
The policy document is called ‘Buy-to-let mortgages – implementing the Mortgage Credit Directive Order 2015, feedback on CP15/3 and final rules’.
