Chartered surveyors Johnson Fellows has appointed George Brittain as senior surveyor in its Birmingham office.

Brittain will work in the property and asset management team supporting some of Johnson Fellows’ major clients including supermarket Tesco.

Neil Wetherell, partner at Johnson Fellows, said: “George is a young and talented surveyor who already has invaluable experience in the Midlands market. We’re delighted to have him join us and to add his expertise and enthusiasm to our growing team.”

Brittain gained a degree in business management at the University of Derby and a post graduate diploma in real estate at Birmingham City University.

He said: “Johnson Fellows is a company with an excellent reputation for offering a tailored and personal approach to all of its clients, and this is something that appealed to me greatly.  I’m looking forward to getting started and adding value to the already strong team here.”

He will also be involved in developing the company’s corporate estate management services. Brittain joins from the Birmingham office of CBRE where he worked as a surveyor for two years.

His appointment follows the announcement in late 2015 that Johnson Fellows would open its first office outside the Midlands, in Manchester. The North West operation is led by former Tushingham Moore partner Chris Litherland and based on King Street in the heart of the city’s retail district.
