Hinckley & Rugby adds to BDM team

Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has increased its business development team, adding six new staff members in the past five months.

Since May of this year, the business began expanding its BDM department, which deals with enquiries from mortgage brokers, in response to an increased amount of business enquiries.

Julie Bourne, intermediary sales manager at Hinckley & Rugby, said: “We are pleased to strengthen our team with our commitment to our mortgage intermediary partners.

"As we look to grow our mortgage book, it means we can speak to more brokers, attend more events and shout from the roof tops about our mortgage proposition.

"It also means that we can help with those specialist cases that just fall outside of high street lending. The team have worked through their training plan and are ready to help."

Hiral Bharadiya, telephone business development manager at Hinckley & Rugby, added: "I was one of three team members who joined the Society in May.

“I joined Hinckley & Rugby in May with two other ladies and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I enjoy my role to the point where I often forget to switch off at the end of the day.

"The team are very talented, knowledgeable and experienced - I just can’t believe how much I’ve learned in the past five months. The society is like a big family and I’m really enjoying working here.”

As well as and Bharadiya, the department’s other new staff members include Jennifer Hingley, Zainab Sayed, Nisha Sahonta, Molly Ellis and, most recently, Georgina England, who joined in September.

The team has also been further strengthened by the return of one of its long-serving staff members, Sophie Hancock, who recently returned to work following maternity leave.
