HLPartnership and Mortgage Support Network have invited non-members to join them at their annual tech and marketing workshops to non-members in January.

The workshops are designed to help members to make greater use of available technology to improve their marketing and customer engagement.

Neil Hoare, commercial director at HLP and MSN, said: “There has been a lot of talk about the threat from robo advice to advisers’ businesses.

“We believe that brokers should not be afraid, provided they embrace the IT and technology tools that already exist.

“Over the past few years HLP and MSN have invested heavily in IT and tech support, which provides service efficiencies, helps advisers to understand customers better and provides simple tools to ensure that regular contact is maintained.

“We know that customers prefer to talk to an adviser. Utilising the benefits that technology offers, allied to their lifetime skills of customer interaction, advisers can offer a far more potent service than robo advice an ever hope to do.”

Phil Bailey, sales and marketing director at Twenty7Tec, who is speaking at the workshops, added: “I am looking forward to the events, which proved to be so popular last year .

“It is a brilliant opportunity for members and non-members to hear about the latest tech innovations in the adviser space and how they can be used to increase business opportunities, retain customers and improve their service proposition.”

The workshops, which aim to help advisers make the most of the technology on offer, will also demonstrate how technology can be used to set up secure communications between customer, adviser, conveyancer and product provider to eliminate fraud.

They are all in January and on: Tuesday 15 at Bridge Hotel, Wetherby, Wednesday 16 at Cott5ons Hotel and Spa, Knutsford, Thursday 17 at Hilton, Leicester, Tuesday 22at Leigh Court, Bristol, Wednesday 23 at Crowne Plaza, Felbridge Hotel, Crawley and Thursday 24 at Marriott, Waltham Forest.
