HSBC UK has extended the availability of its mortgages to two more brokers, taking the total number of intermediary partners to 50.

HSBC UK has extended the availability of its mortgages to two more brokers, taking the total number of intermediary partners to 50.

The addition of LDN Finance Solutions and Easylife Alliance now means over 80% of the broker market, around 12,000 brokers, have access to HSBC UK Mortgages.

Chris Pearson, HSBC UK’s head of intermediary mortgages, said: “We started to make our mortgages available to brokers almost three years ago.

“We entered the market in an intentionally methodical way to ensure we were able to provide them with the best level of service and we wanted to learn from the experience as we progressed.

“During that time a lot has changed, we have launched a new broker platform, given brokers initial exclusive access to our 95% mortgages, removed standard valuation fees and non-refundable booking fees, helping brokers help their clients.”

Pearson added: “What hasn’t changed is our commitment to brokers and an acknowledgement of the important service brokers provide to those who aspire to get onto the property ladder and those already on it and looking to move or remortgage.

“We are going to continue to grow and make our mortgages available to more brokers. Whilst the ‘half century’ milestone of broker partners has now been achieved, we will continue to work tirelessly towards the next big milestone of 100 broker partners having access to our market-leading mortgages as quickly as possible.”
