Kensington rolls out E-KWIP

It’s less than a month since Kensington initially launched E-KWIP to ARs of Openwork, and the system has proven so successful among intermediaries that the lender has fast-tracked its roll-out to all ARs of its distribution partners, including: Openwork, Legal and General, Tenet, Personal Touch Financial Services, Sesame, Intrinsic, BDS Mortgage Group, Pink Home Loans, Mortgage Intelligence, Mortgage Next and Paradigm.

The system will be launched to directly authorised intermediaries in the coming weeks.

E-KWIP is short for Electronic-Kensington Web Intermediary Portal and it will equip intermediaries to deliver even better service to their clients, with immediate decisions in principle and online applications.

E-KWIP won’t detract from Kensington’s commitment to underwriting each case on its own merit, and the lender will continue to make lending decisions based on a customer’s circumstances, not their credit score.

Charles Morley, head of sales and product development at Kensington, said: “E-KWIP makes it faster and easier for intermediaries to obtain a decision in principle and submit applications to Kensington. So, with so many borrowers currently being overlooked by the high street, we are not surprised it has proven so popular.

“What is particularly pleasing is how robust the system has proven to be, which means we have been able to continue the roll-out to appointed representatives more quickly than we had anticipated – and we are looking forward to the next step in the launch of E-KWIP when we will be releasing it to directly authorised intermediaries through our distribution partners.”
