Legal & General Mortgage Club has been involved in more than one in five (22%) mortgages in the UK this year which equates to 264,000 lending transactions.

The club expects to have been involved in more than £70bn of transactions by the end of 2018 and in October it delivered its highest monthly number in the club’s 23-year history, reaching £7bn.

Kevin Roberts, director, Legal & General Mortgage Club, said: “Legal & General Mortgage Club continues to go from strength to strength and I’m delighted to be part of such a dedicated and growing team.

“We’re committed to making lives as easy as possible for advisers and their customers and are always looking for ways to improve our offering to help more of Britain’s borrowers find the mortgage best suited to their needs.

“2019 is going to be an exciting year as the vision for the ‘frictionless mortgage’ has been established and at Legal & General we’re well on the way to digitising our Mortgage Club proposition.”

Over the course of the year 21 new lenders have been added to the Mortgage Club panel, including: Together, Marsden Building Society and The Mortgage Lender.
