Lloyds tries scrapping sales incentives

It comes as compensation paid out to customers mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance is expected to hit £10bn this week.

Lloyds is the latest bank to try linking staff bonuses with customer service after the Co-operative Bank and Barclays both announced similar moves earlier this month.

The Financial Times reported that HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland are also reviewing the links between staff pay and product sales.
