Specialist bankMasthavenhas will be supportinghomelessness charity,Depaul UKand has already raised over £3,000 to supportpeople aged 16 –25 who are homeless and to help change the lives of those affected by it.

Depaul UK helps find young people, both in the UK and further afield, a safe place to stay with the aim of successfully moving them into stable housing. It also provides long-term support to help get their lives back on track.

On top of the £3,000 raised through a prize draw at a recent awards event, Masthaven has raised a number of donations during recent trips tothe NACFB conference in Birmingham and the WalesFSE expowhere brokers were encouraged to donate to Depaul.

Jon Hall, managing director at Masthaven, said: “We’ve chosen to work with Depaul because it’s a charity that shares our vales: as a bank, we help people buy homesandas a charity, Depaul helps people find homes as well.

“We’ve already met with the Depaul team on several occasions and have seen first-hand the important work they’re involved in.

“Individual giving is important, but there’s an awful lot that businesses can do too, and we can’t wait to continue our work with the organisation to help raise awareness of homelessness and support young people to find stable housing.”

Masthaven has worked alongside the charity for a number of years. In 2016 Hall, joined the ‘CEO sleepout’ which saw him swap his bed for a sleeping bag for a night to raise awareness of homelessness.

Annie Hall, corporate partnerships manager at Depaul, said: “Depaul UK is delighted to be Masthaven’s charity partner for 2018, working together to end youth homelessness.

“As part of our partnership we were excited to be chosen as Masthaven’s charity beneficiary at a recent prestigious award event.

“The event provided a great platform to profile Depaul UK’s important work supporting disadvantaged young people across the country who are affected by homelessness.

“We are grateful to all those who attended and helped us to raise over £3,000. This will enable us to reach more young people who so vitally need our support and accommodation services, ensuring they have a safe place to stay.”
