Metro Bank has appointed Andy Piggott as director of lending products, reporting to the bank’s chief commercial officer, Paul Riseborough.
Responsible for overseeing the bank’s mortgages and unsecured lending products, including loans and credit cards, he has over 12 years of retail banking experience.
Riseborough said: “I’m delighted to welcome Andy to the team at such an exciting time for us.
“As our mortgage business continues to go from strength-to-strength, I know Andy’s strong financial services experience coupled with his ability to think outside the box, will enhance our offering still further.”
Joining from TSB, Piggott spent two years as head of personal current accounts, managing the bank’s 4.5 million current account customers, before being appointed as head of cards.
He began his career as a strategy consultant, moving to Lloyds Banking Group in 2006, where he occupied a number of positions, including head of personal current account sales.
Piggott added: “Joining an organisation that puts customers at its very heart and isn’t afraid to disrupt the status quo, has always been high on my priority list. There is so much opportunity for the bank; I’m thrilled to be part of its growth story.”
