Money Partners underwriting appointments

Amanda Jarvis

June 1, 2006

Following an internal recruitment process, Ed McAra is appointed to the new position of mortgage manager with overall responsibility for Money Partners’ four teams of first mortgage underwriters. Matt Smith is similarly appointed to the new role of loans manager with oversight of the specialist lender’s four secured loans underwriting teams. Both will report into Money Partners’ head of underwriting, Paul Simpson.

In addition, three new team leaders have been named to fill the vacancies created by internal moves and the promotion of Smith and McAra. They are Nicky Pack, Jane Griggs and Vanessa King who will each lead a team of dedicated secured loans underwriters. All three have been promoted from within the business and will report direct to Matt Smith, loans manager.

All appointments are effective from 1 June 2006.

Peter Brennan, operations director at Money Partners, said: “We’ve always considered our employees to be among the very best in the business. The fact we’ve been able to fill these important positions from within simply confirms this. And while it’s a hugely pleasant task to congratulate the successful candidates on their promotions, I might add it was a far from easy selection process. Every one of the applicants offered something special, and the fact we had to choose between people of such calibre speaks volumes about them and their own high levels of motivation. It’s a privilege to work with such people.”
