High Street Retail from Complinet is a subscription-based Internet service that addresses the needs of all those affected by the FSA's forthcoming regulation of mortgage and general insurance business.

The service provides daily updates of regulatory and compliance matters and a comprehensive searchable archive of all the regulatory issues affecting the mortgage and general insurance sectors prior to 31st October 2004 and 14th January 2005.

A subscription to the service gives firms access to Complinet's leading Rulebooks technology with FSA-approved versions of the Handbook for mortgage advisors and intermediaries and the Handbook for general insurance intermediaries.

In addition, the service contains expert MCOB and ICOB practice notes that provide practical commentary on all chapters of MCOB and ICOB and FAQ Practice notes that give firms solutions to commonly asked questions and day-to-day issues.

Subscribers who maybe confused on any aspect of the regulation can access the Community message board which allows them to interact with others in their sector and pose queries and questions for the Complinet in-house experts and practice note commentators to answer.

All Mortgage Promotions registered users are entitled to a £50 discount off the usual price of £395.

Commenting on the new service Nick Baxter (Mortgage Promotions Director) said, “Mortgage Promotions already provides for its registered users, on a menu basis, compliance services, training products and CPD solutions.  The new service provided by Complinet adds to range of regulatory services we can supply to our users.  Before launching this service we tested it over a period of time and are delighted to confirm that Complinet meet our requirement of only working with the best.  Who needs to be an AR when such services are available to make it easier for firms to remain directly authorised.”
