Commenting on the deal, Mortgages Direct's Director Peter Gladdy said: “After months of considerable deliberations and painstaking meetings with a number of possible candidates we're very pleased to have formed this strategic alliance with Mortgage Times, who we believe stand head and shoulders above their competitors”.

Chris May, Director of The Mortgage Times Group, added: “This is a great opportunity for us to work with one of the country's biggest brokers. There are a lot of synergies between our own and Mortgages Direct's approach to both the market and customer service. We're looking forward to a successful working relationship.”

The strategic decision to utilise the services of a specialist company to assist with this ever growing and vitally important section of the market has been taken to ensure that Mortgages Direct's consultants consistently offer customers the highest possible standards of advice and service.

An energized Mr Gladdy explained: “I believe that this sector is becoming more and more important in the current market place and although both the regulator and the media are expressing an ever increasing interest in ensuring that borrowers are not put at risk, it is a market that we want grow but in a way whereby we ensure that the customer is fully protected.

“We have therefore sought out a partner that is directly authorised in its own right, has considerable experience in this very specialist area and offers attractive lender products. We are were also impressed by The Mortgages Times' willingness to invest in the further training and development of our consultants.”
