Tomorrow NatWest will be introducing rate changes to its core and semi-exclusive ranges of residential and buy-to-let purchase mortgages and remortgages and launching semi-exclusive 2-year residential products.

For core residential 2-year fixed rate purchases there’s a 95% LTV mortgage, decreasing by 0.14% from 3.71% to 3.57% (4.0% APRC, 3.99% SVR), and without a product fee.

And for a 5-year fixed rate purchase, there’s  85% LTV product, increasing by 0.02% from 2.34% to 2.36% (3.4% APRC, 3.99% SVR) with a £995 product fee, £250 cashback.

Chris Dawe, sales director at LNDfinance, said: “After a period of seeing lenders increasing their rates, it is refreshing to see a mainstream lender reducing their pricing. Hopefully this will prompt some competition and others will follow suit.”

Mark Bullard, head of sales, said: “We’ve taken this opportunity to reposition our portfolio to reflect the current market conditions.

“There are some significant rate reductions in certain product lines, and we’re making changes to the end dates of both 2 and 5-year term deals. I’m pleased that we are also able to introduce some more 2-year fixed exclusive products to the portfolio.”

For buy-to-let 2-year fixed rate purchases there’s a 70% LTV deal, down by 0.15% from 2.12% to 1.97% (4.3% APRC, 4.49% SVR) with a £995 product fee and75% LTV, decreasing by 0.05% from 2.72% to 2.67% (4.3% APRC, 4.49% SVR), with no product fee.

Furthermore for 5-year fixed rate buy-to-let purchases there’s a 75% LTV, decreasing by 0.20% from 2.99% to 2.79% (4.0% APRC, 4.49% SVR) with a £995 product fee.

For semi-exclusive 2-year fixed rate residential purchases there’s a new deal of 80% LTV, 1.87% (3.8% APRC, 3.99% SVR) with a £995 product fee and £350 cashback and 90% LTV, 1.98% (3.8% APRC, 3.99% SVR) with a £995 product fee and £350 cashback

For 5-year fixed rate semi-exclusive residential purchases there’s a 85% LTV mortgage, decreasing by 0.03%  from 2.62% to 2.59% (3.5% APRC, 3.99% SVR), £0 product fee, £500 cashback and 90% LTV, decreasing by 0.03% from 2.49% to 2.46% (3.5% APRC, 3.99% SVR), £995 product fee, £350 cashback

For a 5-year fixed rate remortgage, there’s a 85% LTV, decreasing by 0.06% from 2.34% to 2.28% (3.5% APRC, 3.99% SVR), £995 product fee and 90% LTV, decreasing by 0.23% from 2.69% to 2.46% (3.5% APRC, 3.99% SVR), £995 product fee.
