OnTheMarket, which operates property portal OnTheMarket.com, has made its sales and lettings market intelligence suite available for its listing agents.
Entitled ‘Market Intel’ the dashboard displays market share performance by criteria such as location, property type or value.
It also makes it easier for agents to see how their properties are performing, as well as checking the number of leads they receive.
The dashboard also includes ‘Sales Monitor’ which is a tool to help agents determine whether a withdrawn property was sold whilst still subject to a contract.
This functionality allows the agents to see which fees might be due to them.
Ian Springett, chief executive officer of OnTheMarket, said: “Not only has OnTheMarket matched Rightmove’s Intel product but we are now offering our customers more functionality with Sales Monitor.
“Our first step was to introduce the Market Appraisal Guide which went live in March and gave agents access to sold prices, comparable properties, local information and maps, and now we have followed in quick succession with this latest suite of products.
“These tools are all intended to help OnTheMarket agents reduce their reliance on Rightmove and other portals.
“By using them with vendors and landlords, they will be reinforcing OnTheMarket’s brand and encouraging them to use the website, which in turn will continue to accelerate the growth of the UK’s agent-backed portal.
“We have already achieved much to close the gap between OnTheMarket and the previous effective duopoly of Rightmove and Zoopla and we have every intention of creating a viable alternative for agents and property-seekers alike.”
The new tool has been beta tested with OnTheMarket agents and refined in line with their feedback.
