Financial advice network Openwork reported it has attracted a record turnout for a nationwide series of roadshows introducing its expanded protection panel,as it opens up new markets and aims to fulfil a wider range of customer needs.

Up to 1,000 advisers are expected to attend one of 10 roadshows across the country, which run for the next four weeks until 5 April, with presenters from provider partners and Openwork.

Paul Shearman, proposition director, mortgages and protection at Openwork, said: “We decided to do things a bit differently this year and adopt a more creative approach to achieve the learning objectives from the sessions in a more engaging way.

“It appears to have caught the imagination ofadvisers who have booked on in record numbers. Our refreshed protection panel welcomes Guardian as well the expanded offering from LV= and The Exeter.

“The changes have landed well with advisers, delivering distinctive propositions and new opportunities to serve our clients. I am particularly pleased to have added Guardian and applaud the ambition of Life: Made Better.”

Changes to thepanel, which were introduced in February, include the addition of Guardian, the expansion of theLV=proposition to include life and critical illness insurance and the addition of the managed life and income protection offering fromThe Exeter.

Some of the roadshows, which include events in Dunblane, Belfast, Warrington and Cambridge, are already full and attendance overall has been record-breaking compared to previous years’ events.
