PCCB hires Lorna Bown
Bown recently left Severn Trent after many years involved in their search business with responsibility for compliance.
Kate Davies, chairman of the PCCB said: “Lorna brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the PCCB and will take primary responsibility for overseeing the recently introduced INNS code.
“We expect to see the subscriber base for this code grow substantially over the coming months and years as quality in the treatment of invasive species becomes an ever more important consideration for consumers and companies.”
Denis Purshouse, chief inspector for the PCCB, said: “I am very pleased that Lorna has joined our inspection team, in particular for the hands on knowledge and experience she brings from the code subscriber perspective. I look forward to working with Lorna as we now extend our oversight role to the INNS code.”
Bown added: “The search code and INNS code exist to protect consumers and businesses when investing in property.
“Providing information to help customers make informed decisions is very close to my heart. Making mistakes with property can be extremely expensive and stressful and the two codes serve to make this a lot less likely for those using code subscribers.”
