Personal Touch links with The Exchange

Personal Touch Toolbox includes a back-office and administration system and following a market review the network has made a series of changes to its software, including improvements to its sourcing system through Mortgage Brain and the Mortgage Trading Exchange. Exweb has also been included in the Personal Touch integration to provide an online quote and application facility for brokers.

Martin Wilson, founder and chairman of Personal Touch Financial Services, said: “Our strategy has evolved to focus on distribution and we have created a state-of-the-art technology platform, using key technology specialists such as The Exchange with the flexibility to respond quickly to advisers’ needs and market forces.”

David Child, managing director of The Exchange, commented: “Personal Touch has created an exciting proposition for the broker market that supports advisers as they expand into related areas of advice and grow their businesses. We are delighted to be part of the team to support these ambitious plans and at the same time consolidate our own position as a major player in the mortgage market.”

However, Ken Sives, partner at Sives Financial Services, admitted the integration would not make him change the way he conducts business. He said: “I tend to go to the providers’ direct online system to do applications rather than through The Exchange, so it wouldn’t make any difference to me if they are linked. I find it easier to do applications direct with the companies, but this may be personal choice rather than Personal Touch.”
