PFS backs Just Group’s Older and Vulnerable Consumer Training Tool

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has backed Just Group’s Older and Vulnerable Consumer Care Training Tool, calling it an important free resource to advisers.

The online interactive training module, launched in June and developed by Just Group and the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), has had more than 500 advisers sing up to it.

Keith Richards, PFS chief executive, said: “Advisers are aware of an increasing expectation on them to show they can identify and support their vulnerable clients and it is important they have access to resources that can help them fully understand what is a difficult and diverse issue.

“This Just and SOLLA training module is accessible, comprehensive and a powerful introduction to many of the issues that will make firms really think about how they structure their systems and working practices to ensure they deliver extra support to clients who need it.”

Stephen Lowe, group communications director at Just Group, said: “The response so far from advisers – more than 500 registrations in the first few weeks – show there is a very healthy appetite for this kind of training and we are delighted its value has also caught the eye of the PFS.”

The tool is interactive, combining key information and exercises to ensure understanding of the major issues. It offers the Certificate in Older and Vulnerable Consumer Care for successful completion which provides a record for relevant CPD and training.
