Santander for Intermediaries launches

Abbey mortgages, Cater Allen Private Bank banking and cash management products, Santander General Insurance and the intermediary referral platform for Santander Current Accounts will all be offered under the new brand.

Miguel Sard, managing director of Santander for Intermediaries, said: “Our vision at Santander for Intermediaries is to be the intermediary partner of choice and we want to work even more closely with our intermediary partners to write quality business and meet the needs of their clients.

“The intermediary channel is very important to Santander and we are committed to broadening and deepening our relationships with intermediaries.

“We look forward to continuing to support the market as Santander for Intermediaries and to celebrate the new brand.”

Santander has also launched a new website to support its new brand and provide intermediaries with access to its full range of products and services.

The website also features an online video in which Miguel Sard and Brad Fordham, sales director of Santander for Intermediaries, talk about the new brand and the benefits it will offer intermediaries and their clients.

An updated iPhone app will soon be available to download for free from the Apple app store and intermediaries will be able to find this by searching for ‘Santander for Intermediaries’. In the meantime, the original app is still available from the Apple app store.

Intermediaries will see the Abbey for Intermediaries distribution brand replaced by Santander for Intermediaries from today onwards, but the Abbey mortgage brand will continue to be used, reflecting its strong heritage in the intermediary mortgage market.
