The research found over two thirds of brokers would consider reducing their commission to secure business with a client if they obtained a home insurance quote that was slightly too expensive.
The survey also asked brokers to rank criteria in order of importance when selling home insurance for their customers. Price was ranked as the most important followed by cover features and claims performance.
