Shakespeare Martineau to host conference on over-50s borrowing

Law firm Shakespeare Martineau will host a free conference in Birmingham on 8 November debating the needs of over-50s borrowers .

The conference for lenders and brokers will feature Robert Sinclair (pictured), chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries, Andrea Rozario, chief corporate officer of Bower Retirement, Paul Broadhead, head of policy at the Building Societies Association, Kate Davies on behalf of the Equity Release Council, Ben Thompson, chief executive of ULS Technology and property analyst Kate Faulkner.

The conference will consist of two presentations and a Question Time panel debate and will run from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

Paul Saunders, head of lender services at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “The main focus of the conference is to discuss and debate the borrowing needs of the over 50s which is an increasingly important and significant segment of the population for the mortgage market.”
