Skipton International appoints new chair
Skipton International has appointed Bobby Ndawula (pictured) as its new chair.
Ndawula joins Shelagh Mason, Mark Bright and Tom Quigley, all non-executive directors, Jim Coupe, and Jonathan Dell from the bank, and Andy Nelson from shareholder, Skipton Building Society.
Ndawula is a chartered accountant who is group finance director for Skipton Building Society and a member of the Skipton Building Society board since 2015.
Most recently Ndawula was a board member of Connells and is also a trustee of Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Jim Coupe, managing director at Skipton International, said: “We are delighted that Bobby has taken over as chair, as he is an expert in his field and shares Skipton’s values.
“I’m sure he will play an integral role here at Skipton, as we continue to grow the business and our offering to the local and international markets.”
Ndawula reacted to his appointment: “Being part of a values-led organisation that has its customers and colleagues at the heart of everything it does is important to me and keeps me highly motivated.
“I enjoy leading teams that embrace change and continuously improve the financial strength of Skipton for the long-term benefit of our customers.
“My ambition for the business is for it to continue to grow sustainably, so we can continue to help more people achieve their financial goals.”
