Steve Griffiths will step down from Kensington Mortgages as director of sales and distribution after more than 18 years with the business.

During his time at the business, Kensington Mortgages became a £1bn-a-year lender in 2018 and a three-time winner of the What Mortgage Buy-to-Let award. At the 2018 British Specialist Lending Awards Griffiths (pictured) won ‘Business Leader of the Year’ in the ‘Complex Credit Lender’ category.

His last day is the 31 March 2019 and from then Griffith’s team will report directly to Craig McKinlay, new business director.

McKinlay said: “We would like to thank Steve for his many years of service at Kensington Mortgages and the incredible contribution he has made – not just to us, but the whole industry.

“Under Steve’s leadership we have grown from strength to strength and we are all very grateful for his invaluable work. We are sad to see him go but wish him nothing but the best for the future. Steve leaves behind a strong team which is well positioned for future growth. We’ll miss him immensely.”

Griffiths added: “After 18 amazing years, I am leaving Kensington on the best of terms.

“The development and growth of Kensington and the sales team over the last few years is something I am very proud of, but now feels like the right time to move on.

“I am confident that I am leaving the team in a very capable set of hands. I would like to thank everyone for all their support and hard work and wish them all the best for the future.”
