UTB appoints CFO

United Trust Bank has appointed a chief financial officer in Jonathan Ayres.

United Trust Bank has appointed a chief financial officer in Jonathan Ayres.

Ayres was previously CFO of private London bank C. Hoare & Co and before that he was CFO of specialist fund manager Ecofin. His other roles have included head of finance at Cazenove Capital Management and equity analysis at Goldman Sachs.

Graham Davin, chief executive of United Trust Bank, said: “Jonathan is a very experienced CFO with a great deal of relevant experience in our sector. I am delighted to welcome him to United Trust Bank where his appointment further strengthens our executive team as we continue to deliver strong growth.”

Ayres is currently the chair of the BBA’s Small Banks Technical Panel and a member of the BBA’s Audit and Oversight Committee.
