John Charcol has appointed Walter Avrili, who started his career at the independent broker in 1984, as director of product and mortgage technical.

The team has plans to work with lenders to tailor products to meet client needs and will invest significantly in specialist training for its advisers in the London, Southampton and Birmingham offices.
Walter has appointed Nick Morrey as mortgage technical manager with immediate effect.Morrey has worked in the mortgage industry for 22 years including his 10 years at John Charcol.
