Website offers guidance on FSA regulation

It is in the form of the advance publication of the “Strategic Options” chapter in the forthcoming book A Practical Guide to the FSA’s Regulation of Mortgages, due for full publication in March 2004. The book in full consists of fifteen chapters covering the essential elements of mortgage regulation, each written by a prominent mortgage industry expert.

Written by Bill Warren, formerly national compliance manager at the MCCB and now network director of the Complete Network, the “Strategic Options” chapter sets out the various options open to mortgage adviser firms and guides them through the relevant stages needed to make suitable choices. Bill Warren commented “With authorisation applications starting in January, many firms and individuals are still weighing up the strategic options, so this is an ideal opportunity to get access to some practical guidance on the issues."

Anyone who has reserved a copy of the book – which has been endorsed by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries – will have access to the on-line chapter.
