Mortgage Brain has announced that Zahid Bilgrami has been appointed as group chief executive and is expected to join the business in April.

Mortgage Brain has announced that Zahid Bilgrami has been appointed as group chief executive and is expected to join the business in April.

Bilgrami joins Mortgage Brain after eleven years as chief executive officer at Defaqto.

Following the acquisition of Defaqto by SimplyBiz, Bilgrami led its integration within the SimplyBiz Group.

Bilgrami has held roles within Andersen’s business consulting division and at Balfour Beatty where he helped the board shape group strategy and led and managed acquisitions.

Bilgrami is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from the London Business School.
