Zurich enhances protection support

The new material from Zurich seeks to equip advisers with everything they need to provide a comprehensive and professional service to clients whilst at the same time help the industry try to bridge the protection gap.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Hamilton, protection management director said: "The start of a new year is an obvious time for advisers to focus on protection - inevitably people are more likely to review their finances and we would encourage them to seek the help of a financial adviser. Given the talk of a fragile recovery it is more important that ever that individuals and their families, as well as business owners, seek advice to ensure they have appropriate cover in place to protect themselves against the financial consequences of long term sickness, a critical illness or even death."

The campaign comprises a wealth of support materials aimed at advisers for use with their clients including training videos, case studies, sales kits, meeting tools, step-by-step guides and templates to help advisers get a strong protection campaign off the ground.

The campaign will kick-off early January with the launch of a new dedicated protection microsite aimed at advisers seeking to find out more information on protection matters. Zurich will also be hosting a series of seminars across the UK for advisers wishing to brush up on their protection knowledge - details for both to be announced shortly

As well as providing new support materials aimed for advisers, Zurich is also enhancing its suite of customer literature and developing some new guides to help customers gain greater understanding of the application and claims process.

Concludes Hamilton, "We remain fully committed to supporting advisers who want to grow their business and build on areas such as family and mortgage protection and it's encouraging to see such a strong demand for the training we're making available."
